Thanks to Aaron Clark who wrote us a review of the new Airsoft Claymore. Looks like Aaron has had some fun using the Supercell's Claymore in the field.
"The claymore is very rugged and has withstood over 50 firings so far without any damage or any malfunction. The claymore is very accurate at the intended range and people know when they have been hit by it. The rounds aren't going fast enough to really hurt, but getting hit by so many rounds is quite a shock."
Here's Aaron's complete review---
I recently purchased an Airsoft Claymore from Steelhawk Airsoft. The item arrived on time with the instructional CD-Rom. I was initially very impressed with the workmanship and attention to detail of the claymore. I have to admit that I have not held a real claymore in my hands, so I can only judge the airsoft claymore against pictures, but let me tell you, it looks just like the real thing to me, all the way down to the "front towards enemy" markings.
The claymore is ruggedly made, internally and externally. Initially the claymore would not function, the slot that the release bar fits into wasn't large enough and was pressing on the bar, putting pressure on it and preventing it from freely unlatching. Simply filling out the slot fixed this problem and the claymore has functioned flawlessly since. I've been able to cram over 300 bb's in the claymore, although this drastically reduces the range, it does fill the area immediately to the front.
The instructions provided were excellent and explained all aspects of the operation. The claymore is very rugged and has withstood over 50 firings so far without any damage or any malfunction. The claymore is very accurate at the intended range and people know when they have been hit by it. The rounds aren't going fast enough to really hurt, but getting hit by so many rounds is quite a shock. Just be careful, its easy to aim it to high and overshoot the target area.
Wish list: I would love to have a better trigger device, the one provided works great, but it would be cool to have a clacker like the real one, don't know if that is possible, or if it would drastically alter the price.
Pro: Excellent build, works flawlessly, rugged construction withstands repeated use, no motor to break, excellent instructions.
Con: Needed filling on slot.
Overall I am very pleased and the claymore was worth the money. It works just as its indented to in the field and its great on ambush in the woods and CQB. I fully intend to buy another one.
Yeah. seriously. thisthing is great. In one particular game i got out seven people with just the claymore grenade! they were stunned from the explosion that one guy, lary, actually pissed himself when it went off! THIS THING MAKES ME WANT TO GO ON STERIODS!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGRgg!!!!!
