For the longest time airsoft players often wondered when a company will make the sought-after M14 AEG. Then G&G debuted their version and prayers were answered.
The first model out of the gate was the full length M14 which made a great first impression. Players can appreciate its hefty weight, solid construction, and 1 to1 scale. On top those features it has the very modern composite black stock that has the ability to accept bigger full sized batteries like a 9.6. G&G also removed the fuse for lower resistance from the power source (Battery) to its driving source (Motor). This aspect assured a faster rate of fire as well as longer lasting game play with the higher MAH battery. The M14 also included a High capacity magazine that holds 470 bb’s at the ready.
However, for those who didn’t
like its length (46”) G&G put out its line - The SOC 16.
The SOC 16 was the more “tactical” version of the M14. Like its counterpart, it has all the characteristics implemented in the M14. But the SOC 16 is shorter (37”), comes standard with a very secure 4” rail half way its length for optics, and to make things even better, an all metal aimpoint replica and “L” shaped quick release, low profile, 30mm mount.
Nevertheless players expected the original wood stock version to come out first. Airsofter’s wanted the original version for the genre of the M14. To most its important for the impression some players trying to achieve. To others it’s just plain cool. The stock is imitation wood but even at a close glance its still very impressive. Even down to its texture. The heat shield also comes in a darker shade of brown. It has same features like the Black composite M14 in terms of size, weight, battery capacity, etc. G&G didn’t sacrifice anything when it comes to this AEG.
